Welcome back all of our sports fans, and welcome to another episode of, Sports Bliss with Rob and Kris. What's up, everybody? How are you guys doing? I know everybody's doing good, because it's Friday. Friday. Let's get this weekend going.

Speaker:

It's show time.

Speaker:

All right. I'm going to be honest. I really have nothing prepared. But to me, these impromptu recordings are, like, the best, because that's when you get, your raw emotion, that's when you get the most material that just flies off of the tip of your head. I want to be honest, too. I have another confession. I have to say. I haven't been doing anything because I've been so swamped so far into this Johnny Depp trial case. Is anybody else watching it? Am I the only one? I feel like I ask a few people. They know what's going on, but they don't. But they don't know what's going on. And don't worry. I am here to update you guys.

Speaker:

We'll talk a little Johnny Depp, you'll let us know what's going on? Yeah, because I think there's a lot of misinformation out there, too, about this. We'll get into that in a second. I'll tell you in a second.

Speaker:

Okay.

Speaker:

But I have some UCF drama to talk about. It's pretty raw emotion as you talk about some UCF drama. Then I wanted to give you an update on the Gators a little bit. then we got to talk some NBA because there's some stuff going on. The NBA, too.

Speaker:

We got to talk about some NBA.

Speaker:

All right, so let's kick it off with some Johnny Depp trial first. And I'll tell you, because I actually heard this on a sports radio show when I was in the car.

Speaker:

Oh, you heard, like, updates?

Speaker:

No.

Speaker:

Or just talking about it.

Speaker:

I was talking about it. And the host of the show was like, it's wild. Well, he's like, what's the trial really about? And he said his co host was trying to explain it, and he goes, Is this about Johnny Depp defending himself about a domestic violence case? That's what he thought it was about.

Speaker:

It's a few things.

Speaker:

But it's not really.

Speaker:

No, it is. He's trying to clear his name. However, I think there are some damages done by what she was saying to news sources. Right. Even though she didn't give the name, you can kind of figure out that she was talking about him.

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

It's basically what he was saying. And he got fired from Fantastic Beasts. The third one, he got fired from it. But also what I did not know. And not to mention, he's trying to clear his name from all of these, like, abuse.

Speaker:

Me too.

Speaker:

It's a defamation case. However, what I did not know because I was like, okay, Amber heard she's an actor. She's not, like, an Alist celebrity. She hasn't been in that many movies. As opposed to, like, Johnny Depp, right?

Speaker:

Of course. Yeah, Johnny Depp.

Speaker:

So he's suing her for 50 million. And I'm like, okay, so I go on Google and I see how much she's worth. She's only worth, like, 8 million.

Speaker:

Problems.

Speaker:

Yeah. So I'm like, where is she going to get this money? And how did they figure it's? $50 million, right. Come to find out, they did not sign a prenup. So if you understand, if you read between the lines, basically with Alimony or whatever the post nuptial they agreed on. Right, he has to pay her money.

Speaker:

Yeah, but we saw from the truck, and I said this from the beginning. I said, there's some money involved somehow in this that isn't right, because Where's he going to expect to get 50 million from her? He's worth a lot of money. And he may have lost all this money from losing being out on movies, but where is he expecting to get the money from?

Speaker:

I thought that the alimony was 50 million, but it sounds like that they agreed on 7 million. Sign the paper. Go away. And so basically what she said was, okay, I want to donate the money to my choice of charities, right, for $7 million. So Johnny, which I think he was messed up for doing this. This is how you get yourself into trouble. Just for future references. If you're ever in this situation, please contact your lawyer. Just don't go ahead and make the check out to that charity in her name. I feel like he could get in a lot of trouble for doing that.

Speaker:

Yeah, there's something like, he was writing the checks to her, and then all of a sudden, I don't remember the reason he said, but he changed and started writing to the no charity.

Speaker:

He wrote it to the charity because he didn't believe that she was going to give it to the charity. And he didn't want to give it to her. He didn't want to give her the money.

Speaker:

He was just trying to save her a stamp. He was just going to send the payment straight there in her name and just save her a little trouble.

Speaker:

As this case is piling out, because there's a lot of things that I hadn't heard of prior to the, um, court case. I was baffled. Floored. I was literally embarrassed. Cringed. Is that even right? I was, like, beyond cringe moment. I don't even know if I can say it. Basically, he accused her. I don't know if it's an accusation. They haven't proved it, but it's pretty.

Speaker:

Is this the photograph?

Speaker:

Yes.

Speaker:

They have proof that it was there.

Speaker:

So it is an accusation because they didn't actually physically see her do it.

Speaker:

So what happened is basically they got into a fight, and he was going to leave. He was trying to remove himself from the situation, which I think was a good move.

Speaker:

Well, he goes into debt when he's on the stand. He basically is a victim of, um, child abuse growing up. So he was in a similar situation with his mother. Basically, Amber Heard is like his mom. That's what they keep saying, right? They have the same kind of relationship. So he is just trying to remove himself from these situations. He's hiding. He's retreating from room to room. Yes, exactly. Because he cannot physically handle it.

Speaker:

Right. And he's trying not to get into a physical fight with her. So he keeps removing himself. They're in a verbal fight. He's in his room, and she comes in after him, and he basically gets up, and he's like, I'm leaving. I'll just go somewhere else. And he was going to go to his other house. More rich people problems. And then she blocks the door, and he's like, are you going to let me buy? And she's like, no, you always want to run from things. And he's like, you want to hit me, don't you? And I guess she said, yes. And so he goes, hit me. She hit him allegedly. And then he's like, are you okay? And she still looked up, said he said, hit me again. So she allegedly hit him again. He basically moved her to the side and left.

Speaker:

You kind of have some of the details a little bit out of whack, but essentially, that's essentially what happened.

Speaker:

And so then he goes to this other place, stays the night. The next day, he wants to go back there.

Speaker:

Well, he wants to get his stuff. Okay. So let me pick up from here because she was supposed to be going to Coachella. So he thought, okay, she's going to be out of the house. Let me go in and retrieve a lot of valuables that I have. Stuff for my kids.

Speaker:

Exactly.

Speaker:

Things that are just very important to me that I don't want her to have access to. To potentially whatever. Do whatever.

Speaker:

To destroy whatever.

Speaker:

So he called one of his housekeepers or somebody's security team, and basically they showed him this picture that was of, um, their bed, the two of their bed. And on his side of the bed was, um, mhm if you're watching, you know what I'm saying? Okay. Basically, I don't know if he called her. He got in contact with her, and she was trying to blame it on the dogs. Right? And he's like, laughing on the stand, like, you don't understand. I have two Yorkies. This was human. I think my jaw dropped. I did not know what to say. I was not expecting that at all. I was thinking maybe he was going to catch her in bed with somebody else. Honestly, that's what I thought. Literally, the way that he was describing the story, I thought for sure that she was in bed with somebody else.

Speaker:

Yeah. And I think I laughed, too, but it was like an uncomfortable laugh.

Speaker:

Extremely so cringy. So cringey. Anyway, he's still on the stand as of right now. Defense is doing their cross examination, trying to basically say that he is confusing a lot of his time, that he was under the influence, which we all know that he suffered from a drug problem. It's not a secret.

Speaker:

Yeah, he fully missed that.

Speaker:

However, I really genuinely feel bad for him.

Speaker:

You know what's interesting so far and she hasn't gone on the stand, but so far, basically, they're just trying to poke holes in his timeline or his story. Well, and that he didn't lose these opportunities because of her. She wrote this article describing their domestic abuse and all this kind of stuff. And he's blaming him, losing all these movies on that. They're trying to poke holes into it, saying, no, you did other things that cause you to lose the movies. That's what they're doing right now.

Speaker:

That's what they're trying to say.

Speaker:

But they haven't denied that she did any of this stuff.

Speaker:

Well, I mean, she hasn't been on the scene.

Speaker:

I know she hasn't been on scene yet. So I can't wait until she comes on the stand.

Speaker:

I know. Okay. So when I see Johnny, I see a hurt child, someone that has been battered. When she came out with these allegations, the whole Me Too movement was like super big. There was a lot of victims coming out. And as somebody who empathizes with victims or anybody with domestic violence, I never want to see somebody victimized. However, I believe that because of the movement that was happening, everybody quickly jumped on her page and shot him off. Like, basically he got fired. How is she still doing this stuff with Aquaman? My thing is like, listen, both of them are right? Oh, yeah, both of them are.

Speaker:

They are both crazy as bad.

Speaker:

They're both crazy. They both have substance abuse problems. I believe that they both need help and they both need to be away from each other.

Speaker:

It's going to be interesting to see how this plays out, if they rule in his favor or not, or if they come up with some other penalty that she just has to publicly state he never did this stuff.

Speaker:

What's interesting is that, okay, so they divorced, right?

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

Then she came out like a year later and did this article and then mentioned that there was sexual abuse.

Speaker:

Which she probably got paid for.

Speaker:

Well, my thing is like, okay, listen, I'm not trying to say that this didn't happen. I don't want to discredit her if it happened. Nobody deserves that, right? However, if that's the case, why hasn't it come out before that all of these things that you have said that he's done prior, how did this not come out well.

Speaker:

And what's interesting is they have recordings of them fighting and stuff.

Speaker:

Oh, my God.

Speaker:

And her not remembering any of it. She doesn't recount any of it.

Speaker:

This whole thing with them replaying. And I went on Twitter, actually. And I was like, going down the rabbit hole. Of course, Twitter going down the rabbit hole. Looking at all of the information about people that are bringing forward all the stuff that Amber heard is like, lying about that she can't quote, unquote, remember.

Speaker:

Right.

Speaker:

And listening to some of the audio tapes are pure uncomfortable. I felt so uncomfortable.

Speaker:

And it's so crazy that they have all these audio tapes to me.

Speaker:

Well, there's one, for instance, when Johnny's finger got cut off.

Speaker:

Oh, yeah. Don't forget about the finger getting cut off.

Speaker:

His finger got sliced because he says that she threw a vodka bottle at him.

Speaker:

But it just didn't get sliced. The whole tip went off.

Speaker:

Yeah, it was like one third of the finger got removed. However, the audio tape that I heard on Twitter, she was recording it. And I'm, um, just going to be honest. If I was recording something, I would not be saying some things. I would be make sure to sound. Okay, listen, I need to sound super, like, insane. No, I can't sound unreasonable. Uh, I can't sound crazy. I can't say that I didn't mean to hurt him. And all this stuff. You've got to be aware.

Speaker:

Yeah, you watch the staircase.

Speaker:

If you're trying to build a scenario, if you're trying to build a case against something, why are you going to highlight all of your negative of attributes? Is what I'm just trying to say. It doesn't make any sense to me.

Speaker:

It's weird. This is going to be definitely an interesting one to watch. If you're not following along, you can watch and just go on YouTube. They have it streaming live?

Speaker:

Yeah. Some channels are actually just like, um, airing it, but I've just been streaming it off YouTube. Moving on.

Speaker:

All right, let's move from one drama to another drama. Ok, let's get to some UCF drama. There was a bomb drop yesterday. Jalen Flash Robinson, the wide receiver, would be a starting wide receiver for UCF. Potentially the first or probably one B. He's not number one A, but one B because Rhino Keith is one A. After last year, he entered the transfer portal.

Speaker:

I saw that.

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

So what are your thoughts on this?

Speaker:

It was rumored all last year, the guys that sit in front of us at the game, those guys, the drunk ones.

Speaker:

Yeah, exactly.

Speaker:

The drunk ones. They were saying the whole year they are hearing rumors that Jalen was going to transfer. They kept telling me one guy, I was like, okay, all right.

Speaker:

What's the reasoning for him entering the transfer portal? Because that doesn't necessarily mean that he's going to transfer.

Speaker:

No, he's transferring. He's in the portal. He's gone he's gone. So we'll talk about his landing spots and kind of what it means. Well, the good news is UCF is loaded at wide receiver, so even though they lose him, they have guys to step up to take his spot.

Speaker:

Come on down to Gainesville. It's only about an hour and a half, 2 hours drive.

Speaker:

He's not going to Gainesville, but I'll tell you where I think he's going. Okay. Okay. So he enters the portal and it gets a little juicier because he had an injury last year. I think it was the third game Louisville. He ended up having a knee injury, and he missed a lot of the season, and apparently he was cleared. This is where people really started believing the rumors. Towards the end of the year, he was cleared to come back and play, and he didn't like, he was 100% cleared to play against USF. He didn't play. He was 100% cleared to play against the Gators. He didn't play.

Speaker:

I feel like those are the what, uh, is it the telltale sign that they are just not into it anymore.

Speaker:

.2 I will put into evidence before the court is that he is best buddies with one sock boy, Dylan Gabriel.

Speaker:

Thou Shalt Not Be named.

Speaker:

Yeah, we'll call him. Some people call him Sock Puppet now instead of Sock Boy, but they call him Sock puppet now, which is kind of funny. But anyway, so he was really good friends with him. And from people that are around the team, not only the team, but around that cover it. They were like the whole year. He was kind of like not hanging out with other players even during the games. He was kind of off to himself, all this kind of stuff and just rehabbing, doing his thing. So a lot of people suspect that he was going to transfer the whole time. And Dylan Gabriel, when he left, he said, Wherever I end up, Jalen is going to end up. He's like, he's coming with me.

Speaker:

Never mind.

Speaker:

No. And some people are suspecting that he wanted to go through the spring camp in spring game to show everybody that his knee is good. Okay, this is the rumors. They say he had an offer to go other places, but it wasn't necessarily on scholarship that they wanted to make sure his knee was good before they gave him a scholarship. And now that they've seen him the spring game running 70 yard touchdowns and running away from people, it was free. Advertisement Free Advertisement The other thing is that he graduates this semester, so there's no chance he has to sit out at all. He gets a 100% transfer and doesn't have to sit out and wait. He doesn't have to worry about waiver or nothing so he can go. So the rumor is he's going to Oklahoma to be with Dylan Gabriel because Jeff Liebby is there, who is one of the coaches that recruited him. And as soon as he went in the Portal, the whole Oklahoma team followed him. All the coaches followed him on social media.

Speaker:

So then it's a done deal.

Speaker:he previous year where he had:Speaker:

But you can't really blame it on in the smell zone.

Speaker:

No. Uh, the other rumor is that why receiver coaches were being kind of hard on him. And they were saying, you need to learn to run routes better. You just run straight down the field, basically.

Speaker:

Okay. Constructive criticism.

Speaker:

And they're, um, like, if you want to be in the NFL, you need to run better routes.

Speaker:

Absolutely.

Speaker:

And so some people suspect he's going to a system he's comfortable in so he can put up Gotty numbers and he thinks he can get in the NFL that way.

Speaker:

Well, pal, you'll be cut within the first year or two.

Speaker:

He may not be drafted because he's a little guy, he's not that big, he's fast.

Speaker:

But let's say that this diabolical plan works, right?

Speaker:

He may work.

Speaker:

He's existential numbers.

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

He gets drafted.

Speaker:

Right, right.

Speaker:

What's going to happen? They're going to expect him to know how to run different routes.

Speaker:

Yeah. It depends on where he gets. He could be cut even.

Speaker:

That's what I'm saying. Okay, so he'll have a rookie season and be cut after that because he's not showing improvement.

Speaker:

He may be cut even before the season. Just because you're drafted doesn't mean you make the team. But it's interesting. So some people started saying, well, does this mean that UCF is going to develop these players and then their best players are going to leave because we lost Dylan Gabriel, our best quarterback. Right. It's Debatable, one of our best wide receivers, and then our best linebacker, he went to FSU. So people are like, but at the same time, it's like the Portal works both ways. We've got a bunch of good players here, a, uh, bunch of good players out of the Portal, including the Gators starting tight end.

Speaker:

Our only tight end.

Speaker:to the next year's class, the:Speaker:

Congratulations. I'm so happy for you.

Speaker:

But you know what the kind of weird part is? This quarterback that signed, he just played this last year in the state Championship game, and the quarterback he won it. The quarterback he played against came to UCF, too, as a preferred walk on. Isn't that really weird? Both of the quarterbacks in the state Championship game, both came to UCF.

Speaker:

Amazing.

Speaker:

But they're not as fast as your quarterback.

Speaker:

That's right.

Speaker:

With his Dodge.

Speaker:

Oh, no, you didn't. Leave my boy alone. Okay.

Speaker:

Okay. So let's give you a quick Gators update since we're talking about Anthony Richardson.

Speaker:

Yeah, I know that the drama is about him. Yeah.

Speaker:

It's not that big of a drama, but I just want to see your take on it. So apparently Billy Napier are starting to do his tour. All these coaches do these tours around the state, and that okay to talk to donors or alumni. So they had their first kick off kind of speaking tour in Tampa earlier this week. And so when he was there, he, of course, starts talking about Anthony Richardson. He talks about. Oh, yeah, I talked with him about how you're the quarterback, you're the face of the University, and you can't be doing this stuff and blah, blah. And I'm like, so now he's going to come out with the public stance of, oh, he scolded him and talked to him and all this sort of stuff, but didn't do anything before when it didn't come out.

Speaker:

That's what I was saying. So at what point how would you have handled that situation? I think I kind of talked about it in our last episode.

Speaker:

Yeah, I think they should have done something to him.

Speaker:

Okay. Before the spring game, playing Devil's advocate. You're kind of screwed either way, right?

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

If you ignore it, then everyone's going to be like, well, why didn't you mention it? And if you mention it, people are going to be like, oh, we didn't know that. There's still a problem. They're going to create a narrative regardless.

Speaker:

Yeah. I mean, it's a sticky situation.

Speaker:

However, I don't like the direction that he's choosing to go.

Speaker:

Yeah, it's kind of sketch right.

Speaker:

He is sketch. This is where I've been staying this whole time. Listen, I have more. I can sense his energy. His energy is not very good. And I can best believe there's going to be more problems.

Speaker:

Yeah, there probably will. And the other interesting thing is the audio came out from the police officer when they pulled him over because they have the chest cams and all that.

Speaker:

Okay.

Speaker:

And basically the guy was like, hey, listen, you are going 105 people go to jail for that.

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

He goes, people go to jail for that. I'm giving you a warning that's unsafe to drive like that. But if, um, someone else catches you, you're going to jail next time.

Speaker:

Mhm.

Speaker:

And I guess it's kind of cool for him to let him off.

Speaker:

But, like, he was being extremely hurt someone.

Speaker:

So, you know, he had to know who he was.

Speaker:

Absolutely.

Speaker:

That's why he didn't take him to jail. But that's the way it started with Urban. The cops would just let the guys kind of turn the blind eye, or they would call Urban directly or his guys directly, and they handle it so it wouldn't get out. I don't know. This is slippery slope.

Speaker:

Two, five. I'm just getting 4.0. Whoever else is behind him.

Speaker:

All right, let's jump into the NBA.

Speaker:

Okay.

Speaker:

Because there's some juicy stuff.

Speaker:

Kyrie Irving got fined. I don't think we talked about this episode. No, he got fined $50,000 for what did he do? A double bird. A free bird in that stance. Get it?

Speaker:

Yeah. It was really funny, though, because they lost the game. That's what makes it even funnier.

Speaker:

He's such a loser. And you know what's so funny is that he is feeling people get under his skin. He's so easy to just push his buttons. He reacts.

Speaker:

Oh, yeah.

Speaker:

So quickly without even trying to let some stuff go. I mean, I don't know. That's just what I'm observing.

Speaker:

Well, you know what's interesting is a lot of people thought that he loves this and uses this as motivation because he had a great game. In that first game, he was going off. Just Kevin Durant came up short and didn't do so great. And then Boston went on last second, and I was like, well, really, the Nets look pretty good without Durant really doing much. So mhm I was like, well, they should come back and win and kind of win the series. After last night, I changed my opinion. It was reversed this time. The Nets were up by, uh, 14 or so in the first half, and we turned it off. We watched something else off, something that went to bed. Right. The Celtics turned the defense on in the second half, and they came back and won. They shut Kairi down. He had like, ten points or something like that. He had a terrible game. Durant had a pretty good game, but 20 to, uh, the Celtics.

Speaker:

Wow.

Speaker:

And they go to Brooklyn now. Okay.

Speaker:

Do you think they're going to come out on top of this series?

Speaker:

The Nets?

Speaker:

Are they going to make it to series two?

Speaker:

I thought they would. I thought they would, but not now.

Speaker:

I don't think so.

Speaker:

I think the Celtics are going to take it.

Speaker:

Seeing how Kevin Durant was playing, that was not him at all. I don't know what is going on with him. He looks uncoordinated as ever, but not even just that. He doesn't look like he has his touch, like something is going on.

Speaker:

He looked pretty good for part of it. I know what you're talking about. When you were watching it because you were kind of paying attention and not and there were some times that he looked really bad, but a lot of that was the Celtics defense. They were like really up on him and they were swatting the ball like he would go up for a shot and they would SWAT the ball out of his hand. They were causing a lot of turnovers, and the Nets can't do that. They can't afford to do that. So it's going to be interesting to watch the rest of the series. Now. They do always say a series is not a series until someone wins on the visiting court, right?

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

Because as long as you hold home court, it goes to game seven.

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

So it'll be interesting to see how this goes.

Speaker:

So now they go back to Brooklyn.

Speaker:

Yeah. They go to Brooklyn now. So we'll see the next two games. What happened? The Bucks and the Bulls.

Speaker:

Uh huh.

Speaker:

Last night was big because Chris Middleton, like the Robin to Batman of the Greek Creek, went out with a knee injury. No, he's like one, uh, of their big players. He's very important to them. And he had an MCL sprain. Well, that's the best injury to have because, uh, you don't need surgery for that. You can play through pain and death, but it's very painful. And so they know for sure he'll miss game three and four. Right. But they're going to monitor him like kind of day to day.

Speaker:

So do they win the game or no?

Speaker:

No, they lost to the Bulls. So now they're tied one one, and they had to come back and game one to beat the Bulls at the very end.

Speaker:

So this is not looking good for the Greek freak.

Speaker:

We'll see. We'll see if he can step up. I mean, he is dominating the series.

Speaker:

But he still is only one person.

Speaker:

He still needs help and he needs shooting. And the Bulls are pretty good defensively and they have a pretty good offensive system. So this is another one. This may end up being an upset. I thought the Bucks would kind of fight it out. It would be a tough series, but this may turn the way the Bulls the Bulls may take them out. Now the next series, the Grizz, they finally tied it up one one with the Timber Wolves. The Timber Wolves took the first game. Grizzlies look back in control. We'll see if they can keep that going. The other really big news is the Phoenix Suns, which I had picked to win.

Speaker:

Yeah. You said that they were going to win the Championship.

Speaker:

Guess what happened. Devon Booker went out.

Speaker:

Okay, so there goes your thoughts on it.

Speaker:

He had a hamstring injury, which is bad in basketball. It's bad in any sport. But you know these.

Speaker:

Well, that can lag on for months.

Speaker:

That's the problem. They're saying they think it's only a mild hamstring injury, whatever that means. And he's having an MRI and they know that he'll again miss game three of four.

Speaker:

Are they tied up in the series right now?

Speaker:

They are tied one. One. They won the first game and then lost the second game to the Pelicans.

Speaker:

This is really detrimental to them. This is like severe that this could actually make them lose the series.

Speaker:

Yeah. Devin Booker means a lot to them. I mean, Phoenix, they're still very talented and they may win this series, but if Devin Booker can't come back by the next round and be himself, that's the thing. You could just move the wrong way and retweek it. So it could be a thing where he's playing good. He's not. He's playing good. He's not.

Speaker:

Oh, my gosh, that's terrible. There was major injuries then.

Speaker:

Yeah, that could turn the whole thing. So I don't know. Now the Heat, they're still taking care of business against the Hawks. They're up two 20 and Golden State is kind of cruising against the Nuggets. They're two and zero, so they look good. And Curry is not playing a lot of minutes because you have the ankle injury he's coming back from and they're looking good.

Speaker:

Holding him back, trying to save him. Hopefully to get through this series, move on to the next one, and then possibly.

Speaker:

Yeah, hopefully he gets healthier as they go along.

Speaker:

Tape his ankle up, give him some steroids. Boom.

Speaker:

Champions.

Speaker:

Champions. They're my pick.

Speaker:

Yeah. If Phoenix goes out, Golden State is my pick.

Speaker:

Oh, you can't switch.

Speaker:

No, I.

Speaker:

Said you can't triple stay up or double stamp.

Speaker:

I still never understood that. You say that all the time. I still don't understand it. Anyway, a little bit of magic news.

Speaker:

We are officially out.

Speaker:

Terrence Ross, the Human Torch officially asked for a trade.

Speaker:

I mean, I don't blame him.

Speaker:

I'm sorry.

Speaker:

Extremely.

Speaker:

Um, sorry. He was on a podcast and he officially requested a trade from the Magic.

Speaker:

On the podcast? Yeah.

Speaker:

I'm sure he's a pro.

Speaker:

He already spoke with everybody prior.

Speaker:

I'm sure he already spoke to the Magic. And remember, I said I wouldn't doubt if he was treated by the deadline this year because he was one of the only guys on the team that's really worth a lot to other teams and get picks. And he has a pretty low salary. So he was good to have around on the Magic because he's good, but he can also teach the younger guys, but at some point, the younger guys have to take his minutes. And so why not try to trade him and get some value back? Do you know what I mean? Yeah. So I'll miss I'm sure I'll miss him.

Speaker:

He was one of my will mess that up in the.

Speaker:

Process. You have one job.

Speaker:

Um, will miss you.

Speaker:

Taren. The last piece of news I have is the great coach, Jay Wright from Villanova College Basketball. He announced out of the blue that he's retiring. He's sixty, 60 old. He's won two finals. He's gone to multiple NCAA Final Fours. Just out of nowhere, he says, I'm retiring.

Speaker:

Maybe he's done. Maybe he's finished bending the rules and doing a lot of illegal recruiting and whatever else they can do.

Speaker:

Some people say that. They say he still has a lot of good years left. He's kind of on top right now. They went to the Final Four this year.

Speaker:

Oh, my gosh, what if he did something and they were saying, hey, listen, instead of firing you, why don't you just retire?

Speaker:

Yeah, I don't think so. They hired him.

Speaker:

No controversies have come out with not yet.

Speaker:

He's going to have a Press conference tomorrow afternoon about it. So we'll learn a little more. But he was known as the best dresser in the College.

Speaker:

Basketball.

Speaker:

When everybody talks about it, they're like, he's a handsome man, is what everybody always says.

Speaker:

I never said that. Anyway, the one person okay, when everybody's saying, oh, my gosh, this one person is so attractive. I like to be the one person that's like, no, I know.

Speaker:

You're such a hater. I love it. So anyway, so he's retiring as the official thing, and his old assistant coach is taking over. I think he's at Fordham now, but he was his assistant coach there, so he's coming back to take over. But a lot of people were kind of like poking fun a little bit at Coach K because they're like, Coach K goes on this year long tour, he's retiring and all this. And Jay Wright, who is one of the most accomplished active coaches. Right. Just decides on a Wednesday that he's going to retire on a Wednesday. On a Wednesday. So it'll be interesting. The other thought that people have had is like you said, he's tired of the College game. A lot of people are hoping it's not a health thing first, but then secondly, they think he's just kind of tired of the grind and the transfers. I think the NBA and some people say he's been courted a lot by the NBA over the years, and he's always said, no, I like staying at Villanova. But mhm, they're like, is he going to take the Billy Donovan route? And jump to the NBA because he can't wait much longer. He's sixty, 60. If he wants to go and he's the hot name, then this will be the time to do it. So it'll be interesting to see if he goes into TV, if he just fades off into nothing or goes to NBA.

Speaker:

Oh, my gosh. Okay, I got it. He should go on TikTok and learn how to chop wood like that one.

Speaker:

Guy. Maybe we can get TikTok Terry to do that. Who the ad for UCF?

Speaker:

The chop wood?

Speaker:

Yeah, they calling TikTok Terry. I've ever told you that?

Speaker:

You know who I'm talking about, right?

Speaker:

Oh, I, um, know who you're talking about.

Speaker:

His name is something Thor, and he chopped wood. And I don't know why all these women are, like, sweating over him. I don't see it.

Speaker:

And you're always like, you look at me and you go, but why is he chopping.

Speaker:

Wood? And then you go.

Speaker:

What is he going to do with all the wood?

Speaker:

What he's doing with all this wood? It's just a waste.

Speaker:

He told you he uses to heat his house. Okay. And he uses it to give the neighbors they can't chop their own wood. I don't, um, believe that that's what he said. And to make a few Bucks in the meantime.

Speaker:

Probably go to his house and there's literally, like, wood logs everywhere because he doesn't know what to do with it.

Speaker:

I would imagine, um, going to his house and there's no trees.

Speaker:

Anywhere. It's trivia time. Let's see how good your memory is and how well you pay attention to.

Speaker:

Detail. You know how bad, uh, my memory is?

Speaker:

Why are you booing me?

Speaker:

You know how bad my memory is.

Speaker:

Then this will be a great success for me then. This is a pretty easy one. What color are the goal posts in football?

Speaker:

They're yellow. Are you sure?

Speaker:

Yes. Are you sure? Yes. You're really positive? Yes.

Speaker:

Finally, yes. Okay.

Speaker:

Yeah, I was hoping you would say white or something.

Speaker:

They are sometimes, but, like, in the NFL and all that, they do yellow.

Speaker:

I didn't specify.

Speaker:

So you got it wrong. No, I think in high school. I remember back in high school, they were white, but they did the stupid H shapes. They didn't even do the Y one. It's like cheap goals.

Speaker:

Yeah. Okay, let's wrap it up with you. Rather. Would you rather be a great player with a Trashed legacy or a good player that few will remember? Let's trash it up, baby. Literally. I might have to go with the Trash legacy only because, like, at least somebody will remember you, right?

Speaker:

So it could be like, OJ. No, that would be like a great career and Trashed legacy.

Speaker:

Michael Vic.

Speaker:

Maybe he redeemed himself. He did his time. Don't be making fun of.

Speaker:

Mike. Hey, Mike did his time.

Speaker:

He did his time.

Speaker:

Colin Kaepernick.

Speaker:

He's in the news, by the way. Well, Tim Tebow, still revered as one of the greatest College quarterbacks. I don't know why I didn't like him to College either. But you heard about Colin Kaepernick. No. He's now coming out saying that he would be fine taking a backup quarterback position.

Speaker:

Yes, I did see this, but as long as you give me a chance.

Speaker:

Coach, he said, but once I earned that starting spot, I know then I better be the starter.

Speaker:

Is it an ego thing or you just want to desperately be on a team?

Speaker:

No. If you read between the lines there basically he's saying, I know that if I just get an opportunity to get on the football field that I will be the starter because I'm the best quarterback ever. That's kind of what he's saying, right? I have to laugh because it's because I can one 100%. If you put him on a team and uh huh. Then you're like, no, you're holding the clipboard, you're the backup. He's not going to be happy. No, he's not going to be quiet and he's not going to go along with things. He's going to cause problems, mhm because the way he said it, he goes because I know I'll be the starter if I just get my opportunity and then I'd better be the starter. That's essentially the way setting.

Speaker:

He's so disgusting, I can't even deal with him.

Speaker:

It's kind of like your other favorite quarterback, Cam Newton. Yes. Who's only going to go to Championship team to be the starting quarterback.

Speaker:

Love you so much, Kim.

Speaker:

Listen, Cam is just Champ camp.

Speaker:

Come on, Cam is just a dummy.

Speaker:

But all these guys kind of are my thing is no, wait, they have very poor insight. Insight to themselves because they've always been on top. They've always been the best and I don't blame them. Listen, if I, um, were that rich and played sports and was at the height at one point, I'd probably always believe I was too.

Speaker:

Yeah, but at some point he hasn't been in the League in like five years.

Speaker:

Oh, yeah. Colin Kaepernick.

Speaker:

Yeah. So it's like Bro, at some point you're not in the uh, League for a reason. Listen, I could one hundred 100% of his attitude, what he did on and off the field, if he could back it up with his performance, he would still be in the League.

Speaker:

Well, I think the League had turned the corner to give him a chance to be honest. Because remember when Roger Goddell set up that whole Trout or exhibition where he was going to throw and do stuff like a pro day? Yeah. Remember? And then at the last minute he's like, no, I'm not doing it there. I'm going to do it. Two hours, 2 hours. All these Scouts, mhm had planned to go to this place and then they were like, F this. I'm not going to drive two hours. 2 hours is where we're supposed to be. And he didn't show up. That shows something about you. Yes, that you changed plans at the last minute because it doesn't suit you that you have to have special treatment and all this sort of stuff and at that point they're like, no, we don't want to give this guy a chance.

Speaker:

He's only in it for himself. Yeah, that's it.

Speaker:

When you're outside the League you got to do whatever you can to get into the League you got to kiss their butt. Not them kissing your butt. Oh, I know so I think I would be I want to be the greatest with the trash legacy though anyway.

Speaker:

Heck yeah. All right, guys, we're going to wrap up today's episode. Thank you so much for hanging out with us. Everybody have a fun and safe weekend and we will catch you next week. Bye.
